NEW SAILING RECORD FOR LISA BLAIR 🏆🌊⛵️

Congratulations Lisa Blair on breaking the record for the first person to sail solo, non-stop, and unassisted around New Zealand in just under 17 Days in May 2024!!!

Now an 8 times record holder, we keenly follow and support Lisa’s extraordinary and fearless expeditions which include the fastest person to sail solo, non-stop, and unassisted around Antarctica on her yacht Climate Action Now in 2022! 🏆💨

We can’t wait for the release of the movie Ice Maiden, which charts Lisa’s uncompromising determination in her record breaking Antarctic expedition.

HAMMA STANDING RIG

In 2021, we supported Lisa’s Antarctic quest by equipping Climate Action Now with a new standing rig featuring our premium hamma® Pro, hamma® X, and hamma® Regatta cables🌐

Since then, Lisa’s navigated over 25,000 nautical miles (including the 16,939 nautical miles for the Antarctic circumnavigation) which demonstrates the unmatched durability of hamma®.

TESTING HAMMA

After extensive voyages, our Australasian distribution, Arcus Wire Group, destruct-tested three hamma® rigging cables earlier this year. The testing revealed performance within 1-2% of the minimum breaking load (MBL) even after Lisa’s rigorous southern ocean sailing🛠

The three tested cables were replaced prior to Lisa’s latest successful record breaking attempt to sail solo, non-stop, and unassisted around New Zealand in just under 17 Days.

The results of the testing and resilience of hamma® standing rig in the harshest of marine conditions, prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, that hamma® cables withstand the test of time, maintaining strength and durability🌟
